Sell a Service Business in Latin America
Explore a partial or full exit, with a clear understanding of your options and the next step.
The Startup VC welcomes acquisition opportunities and sell-side advisory enquiries from service-business owners in Latin America.

Two routes. Start with your goals.
You may want a buyer for your business, or an advisor to help you approach the market. These are different relationships. We clarify TSVC’s role before proceeding.

- Discuss your preparation, buyer fit and the support you need before agreeing a mandate.
You do not need to choose a route before contacting us. An initial discussion is not a purchase offer or an advisory engagement.
An operator’s perspective on an exit
Craig Dempsey co-founded Biz Latin Hub, a professional-services business subsequently acquired by Vistra. That experience informs The Startup VC’s operating perspective.
Review Craig’s track recordThis is the founder’s own business exit, not a client advisory transaction or a promise of another seller’s outcome.

Read the guideQuestions before the first conversation
You can start exploring your options before deciding to sell. These answers explain what to expect and what to share.
Do I need a valuation before contacting you?
You do not need a business valuation or an asking price before contacting TSVC. Explain your objectives and the financial information you have available. An indicative valuation is not a purchase offer.
Does TSVC buy businesses or advise their owners?
TSVC considers business acquisitions and welcomes enquiries from owners seeking sell-side advisory. We clarify our role before proceeding: evaluating a potential acquisition and representing a seller are different relationships.
Can I explore a partial exit?
You can explore a partial exit by telling TSVC at the outset that you want to sell part of your business. Feasibility depends on your business, your goals, and the parties’ interest. The founder’s continuing involvement will vary by transaction.
What should I send in my first message?
In your first message to TSVC, send a brief description of your services, operating country, and objectives. Do not attach client lists, contracts, or financial statements to the first message; we should first agree how to share them.
Tell us what you have built
Share your sector, country and objectives. Let us know whether you are exploring a sale to TSVC, advisory support, or both.
